Studying abroad can look very exciting from the outside. You see beautiful university campuses, international students, new cities and opportunities that seem impossible to find at home. But once you actually start researching universities, courses, tuition fees, scholarships, applications, student life and the cost of living, the process can become confusing very quickly.
That is the reason I started Shivansh Abroad.
This website is built around real questions that students ask before studying abroad. Which university should I research? How do I compare MBA universities? Are engineering universities worth the tuition? Where can I find scholarships for international students? What should I know before applying to a university in the USA? What is student life actually like after arriving?
I do not want Shivansh Abroad to feel like another website that simply lists universities and repeats information available everywhere else. My goal is to explain these topics from a student’s perspective, including the things that are easy to overlook when you are only reading official university pages.
Why I Created Shivansh Abroad
When I started looking into studying abroad, I realized that there is a huge difference between reading an admission requirement and actually trying to prepare an application.
A university website can tell you about a program. A ranking website can tell you where a university is positioned. A scholarship page can tell you the eligibility criteria. But those resources do not always explain what the experience feels like when you are sitting with multiple university options and trying to decide which one actually makes sense for you.
That personal side of the process is what I want to document here.

My Approach to Study Abroad Content
I believe good study abroad content should do more than collect keywords and repeat information.
If I am writing about an MBA university, for example, I want to discuss more than the university name and a ranking. I want students to think about the program, location, tuition, career goals, available resources, campus environment and whether the university actually fits their individual plans.
The same approach applies to engineering universities and scholarships.
A scholarship should not simply be described as “available” without explaining who may qualify, what students should check and where the official information can be verified. Similarly, a university should not be recommended simply because it appears high on a ranking list.
My philosophy is simple: research first, compare carefully and then make your own decision.

These things are difficult to understand from a university brochure alone.
As someone studying in the USA, I want to share the small observations that can make a big difference to another student. Sometimes it may be something about campus life. Sometimes it may be an application mistake that I think students should avoid. Sometimes it may simply be my opinion about what I would personally look for when comparing two universities.
My experience is still just one student’s experience. It should not be treated as a universal rule.
That distinction is important to me.

I have been through that kind of research myself.
My biggest lesson is that there is rarely one perfect university for everyone.
A university that works extremely well for one student may not make sense for another. Your academic background, budget, career plans, preferred location, program interests and personal priorities all matter.
