How our numbers work

Every figure on Shivansh Abroad comes from a simple, transparent formula: energy used × your price per kWh. We take average residential electricity prices for each state from the U.S. Energy Information Administration, battery sizes and EPA-rated ranges from manufacturer and buyer’s-guide data, and add a typical charging loss so the energy you pay for at the wall is counted, not just what reaches the battery.

Averages are a starting point. Your own utility rate is the single biggest factor, so every calculator lets you type it in. Read more about our data and methods.
